An experiment for you

This week I want you to run an experiment.

  1. Think of the activities you do that generate high value and make a significant impact. Write them down and rank them in order of impact.

  2. Now, rate the quality of your attention during your top 3 activities. On a scale of 1-10, how focused are you? Are you multi-tasking and bouncing around among multiple efforts? Or are you laser focused, time blocked, no interruptions for up to 2 hours?

  3. Now, write down 3 activities you do that generate very little value and could be eliminated.

  4. Eliminate the activities from #3 from your schedule this week.

  5. Consider if you could eliminate ay activities from #1 that aren’t your top 3.

  6. Block out time for deep focus for your top 3 activities from #1.

  7. Make that your plan for this week.

  8. Check in with me at the end of the week and let me know what happens.
